Ingredients
• Fresh sea bream (or sea bream, sea bass, mullet): 4 ample fillets.
• Garlic: 2 cloves
• Lemon: 1
• Dry white wine: 150 ml
• Fresh parsley: 1 bunch
• Salt: to taste
• Pepper: to taste
• Extra virgin olive oil (EVO): as needed
Servings for 4 people Preparation time: 35 min. Difficulty: easy
Preparation
Let’s begin.
Rest assured: despite this dish having an extremely delicate, elegant, and sophisticated taste, its preparation is very easy.
One Preheat the oven to 180°C. Meanwhile, ensure you thoroughly clean the sea bream fillets, removing any leftover bones.
Two Finely chop the garlic and parsley, and mix them in a bowl. Add olive oil, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and white wine, stirring everything well. Season with salt and pepper to your liking. The seasoning is ready!
Three Place the sea bream fillets on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and brush the marinade on both sides of the fillets. Pour the remaining seasoning over the sea bream’s surface and spread it evenly to cover the entire fish.
Four Place the tray with the sea bream in the preheated oven and bake for about 15-20 minutes, until the fish is tender and easily flakes with a fork.
Five During cooking, regularly check the fish to ensure it doesn’t dry out (the dilemma of any fish dish). If needed, you can add a little water or broth to keep it juicy and flavorful.
Six Once cooked, remove the sea bream fillets from the oven and place them on a serving dish. Garnish with a sprinkle of chopped fresh parsley.
A side note?
Prepare a brine by boiling water with salt and garlic.
Place the bowl near the diners, so they can add a few spoonfuls onto the white flesh of the fish.
Then add the parsley.
Enjoy and bon appétit!
