The itinerary starts from Hotel Germania and reaches the nearby centre of Jesolo Paese. Then it continues along the cycle path of the River Sile, where the famous GreenWay, the green corridor connecting Jesolo to Treviso inside the Regional Natural Park of the River Sile, begins. We will only cover a few kilometres of the 125 km cycle path, but it is enough to appreciate the magic of this route between the river and the lagoon.
When we reach Torre Caligo, an old military garrison, you will have the opportunity to observe the unspoilt nature of these environments bound together by a common element, the water. Along the way you will also stop at observatories to enjoy the breathtaking views from a better perspective and if you are lucky, catch a glimpse of Venice’s skyline from afar.
The tour then continues through embankments, farmlands and fishing valleys until you reach Caposile, where you cross the river again on the suggestive pontoon bridge. We then continue along the dirt path along the ancient course of the River Piave Vecchio until we reach the lock called “Porte del Tajo”, passing through orchards and beautiful views. Along the route up to here there will be the possibility to stop for refreshments at several points as well as finding space to eat a packed lunch.
After recharging your batteries, the tour continues along the cycle path that runs along the banks of the River Piave giving you new emotions in a fun route that will take you to Cortellazzo and then back to the hotel.
